Rx 2009.5 Broadband Download File

Rx operators who have downloaded the 2009.5 software update using the broadband download feature, must use this file to switch over to the new software once the download has finished.

This is due to the higher color depth introduced in the 2009.5 software which allows for a broader range of distinct colors, but subsequently, the Rx monitor may appear to shift slightly.
Because of this, the operator must be present in order to activate the switch to the new software with the USB pen, and then make any necessary monitor adjustments and recalibrate the game.

To install this file, you will need:

  1. a personal computer with a USB port
  2. a USB pen (supported by Megatouch software)
    NOTE: A USB pen kit (part number KAV-100-008-02) is available.

DOWNLOAD THE FILE TO YOUR PC
(Windows 95/98/NT/2000/XP Download Instructions)

  1. Click here to download the file if you are using a USB pen to install the update: Rx 2009.5 File
  2. Select SAVE.  The "SAVE AS" dialog box is displayed.
  3. Select a location to save the file and then click SAVE.

COPY THE FILES TO A USB PEN

Copy the file to your USB pen.
NOTE: This must be the only file on the USB pen for it to properly install.


INSTALL THE FILE ON YOUR GAME

  1. Turn off the game.
  2. Unlock the game and open the top bezel by pulling the rear of the top bezel forward.
  3. Insert the provided USB pen into the USB port (see Figure 1).
  4. Turn on the game.
  5. When the game boots up, it will load the upgrade. The game will reboot several times in the process.
  6. When the game boots to the Main Menu, remove the USB pen.
  7. Press the calibrate button (labeled “Calib”) on the OSD board (see Figure 1).
  8. When the first screen appears, press the “Auto” button on the monitor control board (see Figure 1) to auto-adjust the monitor for that resolution.
  9. Perform the calibration on this screen by touching the center of the first cross, holding it for 2 seconds and then releasing it. Then, touch the center of the second cross, hold it for 2 seconds and release it. Touch the EXIT button.
  10. When the next screen appears, press the “Auto” button again for this resolution. Then perform the calibration on this screen by touching the center of the first cross, holding it for 2 seconds and then releasing it. Then, touch the center of the second cross, hold it for 2 seconds and release it. Touch the EXIT button.
  11. When the next screen appears, press the “Auto” button again for this resolution. Then perform the calibration on this screen by touching the center of the first cross, holding it for 2 seconds and releasing and then touching the center of the second cross and holding it for 2 seconds. Then touch the EXIT button.
  12. Close and lock the top bezel.
  13. Turn off the game.
